We recently completed the Spring 2016 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic at Timarron Country Club in Southlake, TX. This 8-week adaptive golf clinic series was developed by Salute Military Golf Association founder and PGA Professional Jim Estes and is designed as a rehabilitative tool for wounded warriors.

Veterans Day Event at Ridglea Country Club
The members of Ridglea Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas hosted 12 NTWWGA warrior golfers at their Veteran's Day celebration on Sunday, November 10, 2015. In addition to the golf outing, Ridglea members made a donation of over $8500 to NTWWGA from the proceeds of their fundraiser.

Our annual fundraiser was held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Timarron Country Club. We hosted 22 warrior golfers at the tournament and raised over $24,000.
2015 PGA Events for North Texas Wounded Warriors
Courtesy of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, eleven NTWWGA Warrior Golfers participated in the Byron Nelson Corporate Challenge on May 13, 2015. NTWWGA teams finished second and third in the tournament - earning them opportunities to play in the Champions Pro-Am and the Classic Pro-Am.
The Fluor Corporation hosted 17 warrior golfers and 19 warrior family members at the Fluor Villa on the #18 green for the AT&T Byron Nelson PGA Golf Tournament. The warriors enjoyed great food, exceptional hospitality and camaraderie with the Fluor executives and representatives who hosted the event.

The Spring 2015 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic was held at Timarron Country Club in Southlake, TX. This 8-week adaptive golf clinic series was developed by Salute Military Golf Association founder and PGA Professional Jim Estes and is designed as a rehabilitative tool for wounded warriors.

Ridglea Country Club
2014 Salute to Our Heroes of Freedom
Over Veteran's Day weekend, Ridglea Country Club hosted the Salute to Our Heroes of Freedom event. Ten NTWWGA warrior golfers were invited to participate in a 9-hole scramble and a reception with the members of Ridglea Country Club in Fort Worth. At the reception, the members and staff of Ridglea Country Club surprised us with donations totaling over $5000.
4th Annual North Texas Warrior Golf Tournament
September 14, 2014
On September 14, 2014, NTWWGA hosted 17 wounded warrior golfers at our annual fundraiser at Timarron Country Club. Several of the golfers were participants from our 2013 and 2014 clinics. We were also honored by the participation of a foursome of wounded warriors from the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1513. We raised over $24,000 at this event. We will use these proceeds to host the 2015 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic and to provide playing opportunities to North Texas wounded warriors.

In September 2014, six NTWWGA golfers were able to enjoy playing in the Hall of Fame - Arlington Golf Classic, courtesy of the tournament committee. Our golfers were able to enjoy the day golfing with NFL Hall of Famer Tom Mack.
2014 PGA Events for North Texas Wounded Warriors
Thanks to American Airlines, four NTWWGA golfers were able to enjoy a "behind the ropes" experience with PGA Professionals Pat Perez and Carl Peterson in the "Hogan's Alley Walk" at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at the Colonial.
Thanks to the Fluor Corporation, several NTWWGA golfers were treated to a first class experience at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. The Fluor Corporation invited all golfers in our program to watch the tournament from their luxury villa overlooking the #18 green.
The Fluor Corporation also invited NTWWGA board member Jason Leap to participate in the Celebrity-Am event at the Byron Nelson. The Flour team played with Troy Aikman and took second place in the event.
Courtesy of the Byron Nelson, nine NTWWGA golfers participated in the HP Byron Nelson Corporate Challenge. One NTWWGA team finished third in the event, offering them the opportunity to compete in the HP Byron Nelson Classic-Am.
Spring 2014 North Texas Wounded Warrior Golf Clinic
The Spring 2014 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic was held at Tmarron Country Club in Southlake, TX. The 8-week clinic series was developed by Salute Military Golf Association founder and PGA Professional Jim Estes and is designed as a rehabilitative tool for post-9/11 soldiers and veterans who have a service-related disability. Timarron Country Club donated the use of its facilities, equipment and golf instruction. Through the generous financial support of our sponsors and supporters, we were able to provide participants with a custom-made set of TaylorMade golf clubs to nine clinic participants.
3rd Annual North Texas Warrior Golf Tournament

NTWWGA hosted 14 warrior golfers at this fundraiser. Several of the golfers were participants in our 2013 Clinic and others were SMGA-trained warrior golfers who have relocated to DFW. We raised over $20,000 at this event and will use the proceeds to host the 2014 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic and to provide playing opportunities to North Texas wounded warriors.
2013 Playing Opportunities for North Texas Wounded Warriors
In 2013, NTWWGA coordinated over 90 individual wounded warrior playing opportunities to 20 different events in North Texas, including the HP Byron Nelson Classic Pro-Am. Wounded warriors from our program also participated in Tschetter-Lucas Foundation Tournament in Gainesville, Virginia and the Comfort Crew Boots & Birdies Charity Classic in Austin, TX.
NTWWGA warriors golfers were also invited to play in two prestigious events. Jason Leap joined 12 other US wounded warriors as they traveled to Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in England to compete against UK wounded warriors in a Ryder Cup-styled golf tournament. Dave Romanowky and Nick Bradley competed against 22 fellow wounded warriors in the 2013 Warrior Open at Las Colinas Golf Course, hosted by President George W. Bush.

The inaugural North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic was held in the Spring of 2013 at Tmarron Country Club in Southlake, TX. The clinic is designed as a rehabilitative tool for post-9/11 soldiers and veterans who have a service-related disability.
Clinic participants included 11 active duty and veteran servicemembers who have a post-9/11 service-related disability.
2013 NTWWGA Becomes Full Service SMGA Chapter
In 2013, NTWWGA formalized its agreement with SMGA and became SMGA's North Texas Chapter. We now share SMGA's mission to provide rehabilitative golfing experiences for our nation's wounded warriors.

Participation in the charity golf tournament offered our sponsors and supporters the chance to directly interact with our nation's heroes and to make a positive impact on their lives. This is part of the healing that the game of golf offers our veterans. We raised over $14,000 in this tournament which we used to fund the 2013 Warrior Golf Clinic.
Special thanks to members of the Birdville High School Golf Team. These junior golfers served as escorts for the warriors during the tournament's practice round and as registration volunteers during the tournament.

We raised over $9000 for SMGA. We also were able to coordinate several club donations to SMGA.
The most rewarding aspect of the tournament was our ability to host four SMGA-trained wounded warriors for a weekend of golfing and other rehabilitative/recreational activities. Matt Levine, Chris Bowers, Brian Bradley and Denis Oliverio were our honored guests during the weekend.
